Wind Band – Discover Your Community Event – 29th Feb

Dear Parent/Guardian

The Wind Band is playing at Street Parish Council’s ‘Discover Your Community Event’.

29th February 2020. Crispin Hall. The High Street. Street.

We will rehearse as usual at Strode Theatre from 10.45am to 11.25am and then walk to the middle of town. I will monitor crossing the roads as they present a minor risk.

We will be performing from 12noon-12.30pm which you can attend. If however you will just be collecting your son/daughter from Crispin Hall please find me so I know that they are leaving safely with you. I will escort any remaining club members back to Strode Theatre and I anticipate leaving the campus by 1pm at the latest. Performers please bring: Black Polo Shirts. Instruments. A name-labelled Music Stand. Blue Music Folders. A Mobile phone (turned off for performance).

Many thanks. Jamie. Contact <infocosmicmusic@gmail.com>

Dear Musicians of all ages. You are invited to a free morning of music making at the music club!

We are a long established charity based at the Crispin School/Strode College campus in Street.

Junior musicians, why not try the Youth Choir or our Junior Acoustic Guitar Group. If you already play an orchestral string, brass or woodwind instrument play along with the Junior Orchestra!

Grade 3 plus? The Junior Orchestra & Youth Choir still cater for you but you should also consider the Intermediate Strings, Folk Group or Rock bands!

Calling all County Band and Orchestra players and everyone Grade 5 and above! Try the Chamber Orchestra, Big Band (Brass, Saxes & Rhythm players), Youth Choir, Advanced Strings or the Wind Band (advanced piano players have you ever thought of playing other percussion instruments? We have some for you to try!).

Parents, indeed all adults, did you enjoy playing when you were younger? Don’t feel left out! There’s the Adult Orchestra, Senior Choir, Folk Group and Adult Rock group!

See the timetable here.

On arrival. Park for free in the large campus carpark. With Strode Theatre on your left, walk through the automatic double doors and turn left into the college canteen to find our administration desk. Please arrive ten minutes before your first session so we can give you a warm welcome.

I hope you have a fabulous morning with us, don’t forget your Instruments! Jamie Phippen (Senior Tutor)
